I've been lagging. Draging my feet. Hesitant. Maybe just plain lazy and exhausted. I've been paralyzed by the nonstop onslaught of tragedy glaring through the omnipresent in my hand. I know I'm not special in this. Many of us are coping with reality rather than living it. Let me share a secret with you. If you feel like you can't do anything, write a book. Write a problem. Write a hero. Make two characters friends, tell jokes, fall in love. Then kill one of them off.

You can share your story if you want to. Or you can keep it to yourself. But I promise you, if you write a story and put real effort into it, and into the characters and their feelings and problems, you will feel better.
